As many of you know, my hometown is Wyandotte, MI; and no matter where I live or travel - I always hold that city near my heart and I wear it's values proudly on my sleeve!
My city was dealt a pretty big blow tonight - Lions, Tigers and Beers, a sports bar & eatery owned by good friends of mine; suffered a devastating total-loss fire. Emergency personnel and equipment from nine neighboring cities provided assistance and the firefighting efforts lasted nearly 12 hours.
The firefighters, police and others in-charge did an outstanding job of containing this fire to only one building - unfortunately, other adjoining businesses suffered smoke & water damage. Thankfully, NO ONE was seriously injured - or worse - during this entire ordeal.
My city - Wyandotte, MI - WILL pull through all of this! However, many lives will be affected over the next several months and these people will be in my daily prayers.
I look forward to what will be RE-BUILT in the coming months - LTB's and the Wyandotte will come back BIGGER & BETTER - just you wait and see!
